The Brief. The customer came to me after searching for days for the perfect birthday gift for her 16-year-old daughter — but nothing quite felt right.
She asked me to create something completely unique and personal that would feel at home in her bedroom, while giving her a dedicated place to display and organise her perfumes, jewellery, earrings and other treasured pieces.
The piece was made to fit a custom-designed presentation box, creating a complete experience from opening the box to discovering the finished piece.

After talking through her daughter’s personality and interests, we discovered a strong love of all things gothic, from vampires and fantasy to the books and films she adored. A beautiful piece of maple with black spalting running through it was perfect for this item.
